The extraordinary event organized by Mi Casa Perú reaches its ninth edition. “It is a community and family event that is already a tradition for Peruvians and Latin Americans in the Denver metropolitan area. The event is planted in the heart of our community and for this reason we work so that a high-quality show can be enjoyed,” said May Stiglich, director of Mi Casa Perú and organizer of the event.
Popular singer Ruth Karina, Peruvian star of techno cumbia and Amazonian cumbia, arrives directly from Lima. Ruth Karina comes to perform her hits with her band and her dancers. The “Tropical Kaoba” orchestra and the “Colors Ensemble” will make those present dance along with the sounds of salsa and merengue. There will also be a performance by the “Elder Lunatic,” Djosh, and Robert G. There will be dance music for all tastes.
Maricruz Bissio will arrive at this celebration of Peruvian identity. This young figure of Peruvian Creole music, also recognized for her outstanding participation in the Voice of Peru 2014, brings the traditional repertoire to interpret it with guitars and with the cajon. The new Tusuy Kusi dance academy made up of young dancers from Colorado will make its debut at the event. This group is another of the initiatives of Mi Casa Perú Colorado.
Delicious Gastronomy
The little ones in the house will find fun. “El Show de Kary” will be present at the event with face painting, balloons, dolls and robots. All those who love Peruvian gastronomy will be able to enjoy it. This event is also a food festival on the same level as the Peruvian Mistura festival. You will be able to taste the food of a large number of Peruvian and Latin American restaurateurs from Colorado.
