The city of Denver will become the epicenter of television creativity with the arrival of SeriesFest 11, taking place from April 29 to May 4, 2025. Organized by the Denver Film Society, this event promotes innovation in episodic storytelling, bringing together creators, actors, executives, and series lovers for a program that includes world premieres, independent pilot competitions, exclusive panels, and specialized workshops.
Among the festival’s highlights are the opening night with Amy Schumer & Friends at Red Rocks Amphitheatre, a tribute to Carnival Films—the production company behind Downton Abbey—and a special panel commemorating 20 years of Grey’s Anatomy. In addition, the event will feature notable personalities such as Mayan Lopez, Rhea Seehorn, and Gareth Neame, consolidating SeriesFest as a unique platform for discovering new talents and independent projects that often go on to secure commercial distribution.

SeriesFest 11 not only celebrates the present of television but also drives the future of the industry through its commitment to diversity and support for emerging voices from around the world. The program indicates that more than 50 titles will compete across a wide range of genres, including drama, comedy, digital formats, and late-night series.

As part of the SeriesFest 11 programming, Netflix will present the exclusive screening of Welcome to the Family on Wednesday, April 30, at 5:45 p.m. at the Sie Film Center in Denver. Created by Pau Freixas, this series follows Cristina, a single mother who, after her father’s death, must team up with her stepmother to forge a will, hide a body, and outsmart a mobster and a nosy neighbor.

The screening will be followed by a Q&A session with the director and executive producer and will conclude with a special reception featuring drinks and appetizers. This production represents a unique opportunity to enjoy an exclusive preview of a dark comedy before its official Netflix premiere and to interact with its creators in an intimate and festive setting.
