El juez Drew Tipton de Texas acogió la demanda presentada por 21 estados republicanos contra el programa de permisos humanitarios del gobierno de Joe Biden. El programa que ha permitido la entrada de 180.000 migrantes de Venezuela, Nicaragua, Cuba y Haití a EE.UU.

Las políticas migratorias de la Administración de Biden estarían en riesgo. En el pasado, Tipton ha fallado en contra de las políticas migratorias de Biden. El gobierno federal asegura que esas políticas han contribuido a la “reducción de las detenciones” de migrantes en la frontera.
