The City and County of Denver has received and sheltered 3,652 between December 9, 2022, and January 3rd, 2023. By December 29, some 700 of those migrants were still housed in one of the two emergency shelters set up in Denver. Another 654 migrants are cared for by emergency shelters created by non-profit associations that collaborate with the city.
The arrival of migrants has not stopped. On Christmas Day morning, about 110 people arrived in Denver. Meanwhile, the next morning, the number of newly arrived migrants increased to 156. “We still need people to be able to donate clothing and other items to support migrants arriving from the southern border,” the city statement said. It also contains the list of organizations that would receive monetary donations.

Volunteering
In the shelters they continue to need volunteers to carry out different tasks, some of which, not all, are health care related. All volunteers must pass a background check to be eligible.
