With the announcement by Mayor Michael Hancock of a Public Health Order, Denver has canceled public events at certain venues owned and operated by the city until April 12th. The order has the intention of protecting the public and mitigating the spread of COVID19.
The city owned venues include Red Rocks Park & Amphitheatre and Visitors Center; the Denver Performing Arts Complex; the Denver Coliseum; McNichols Civic Center Building; and the Colorado Convention Center.
Libraries and rec centers
Libraries and recreation centers will also be closed beginning on Monday, March 16, 2020, until further notice. “During this evolving public health situation, the health and well-being of everyone in our community again is our number one priority,” Hancock said.
