Earlier this year, the Colorado General Assembly and Gov. Jared Polis approved legislation that would raise the gas tax on all Coloradans- including the state’s Hispanic community.

What does this mean?

The new law will mean that you will pay more EVERY time you fill up your car with gas to get to around, including getting to work or spending leisure time with your family.

And even if you don’t own a car, the new gas tax may result in higher costs when using public transportation or riding a taxi like a Lyft or Uber.

Your grocery bill may also go up as retailers and distributors are forced to pass on the higher cost of doing business on to you- the customer!

It didn’t have to be this way

Back in 2020, Colorado voters went to the polls and voted for Proposition 117 – a proposal saying the voters deserve a voice on any excessive fee increase. Despite this, lawmakers in Denver went ahead anyway and added fees on gasoline!

Many Colorado Hispanic Are Hurtling!

Now is not the time to raise taxes on the Colorado Hispanic community.

Tell your lawmakers that you are not happy with the gas tax increase – that will disproportionately impact our community.
