Representatives from LIBRE Colorado rallied at a gas station in Wheat Ridge to provide consumers with gasoline for $2.38 a gallon. “We were at this gas station because we want to give relief to the residents of Colorado, in particular the Hispanic population. We were able to lower the price of fuel from $4 to $2.38,” reported Angel Merlos, LIBRE Colorado’s director of coalitions, who was in charge of the initiative.

This organization that promotes causes related to economic freedom managed to get consumers to buy gasoline at a discount price. FREE assumed the difference in price to send a message. “For many in our community, inflation is causing a lot of anxiety and worry. Every day it is more difficult for parents to provide for their families. Every dollar that is saved is of great help,” says Merlos.

They ask to stop public spending

The executive continues, “We want to let people know that Washington’s policies are largely contributing to US inflation. It’s time for Washington to stop this unnecessary federal spending and take charge of the economic situation. Our people are looking for opportunity and jobs and not an expansion of government that limits success in this country.”
