Denver is getting ready for one of its most vibrant nights of the year: the third edition of “Amor a la Mexicana Fest”, which will take place on Saturday, September 6, 2025, at the historic Auraria Campus. This festival has become a unique cultural experience that celebrates Mexico’s richness through its cuisine, music, art, and traditional drinks.

More than 30 local restaurants and producers of tequila, mezcal, and sotol will participate in this edition, offering unlimited tastings of dishes and beverages. Attendees will be able to discover the best of Mexican cuisine in Denver and connect with those keeping alive the tradition of artisanal drinks that are now conquering palates in the United States.

Projection show at San Cayetano Church

One of the most anticipated moments will be the video mapping show at San Cayetano Church, where light, music, and color will narrate the history of Mexico. Scheduled for 8:00 p.m., the show will be followed by folkloric ballet performances and live music.

The festival will also open space for creativity with live art, cultural exhibitions, and interactive activations. Local artists and artisans will share their work, and themed stages will be available for photos. A VIP area will feature premium cocktails curated by Tequila 3030 and special dishes prepared by guest chefs.

Dressing with Mexican pride

The festival will incorporate a red carpet to showcase traditional Mexican fashion. “We are inviting everyone to come in outfits that reflect Mexican identity. We want Mexican culture not only to be experienced but also worn,” highlighted organizer Marlen Bedoya.

The event carries deep significance by being held at the Auraria Campus, a space where a Mexican American community was historically displaced in the 1970s. “For us, it is special to return here with our traditions, because it is a way of saying we are still here and proud to be Mexican,” expressed founder Marlene Bedoya.
