Connect for Health Colorado, the state’s local health insurance marketplace, provides a diverse network of experts to help individuals enroll in the health plan that is best for them. This help is done free of charge at any time of the year. This assistance comes from personnel linked to different organizations in different parts of the state and most importantly, they are people trained and certified to provide specialized care.

“The experts we have certified are a valuable source of support for Coloradans. They don’t just provide enrollment services; They offer a continuum of support. I encourage anyone who needs help with health insurance to use a Connect for Health Colorado support site. We are here to help navigate whatever changes your situation, so you can stay covered,” said Kevin Patterson, Executive Director of Connect for Health Colorado.

Near to the community

One of the sites certified to provide assistance is Servicio de la Raza, west of Denver. This important organization offers information, resources, and support to help people sign up for health insurance. “We share the mission of Connect for Health Colorado. We want as many people as possible to know about their options for receiving health care. We assist in the registration of private health plans, and the Medicaid, CHO+ and even SNAP programs,” said Hilda García, spokeswoman for the organization.

“Access to, and education about, health insurance ensures that everyone in our community lives healthier, more independent lives. It is a commitment for us to have the opportunity to connect people with affordable healthcare options. The community knows that we have prepared ourselves to fulfill this task and trusts Servicio de la Raza to request help regarding health insurance,” said García, who recalled that the organization he represents has used since 2013 in the registration of health plans.

Find help in your area

Connect for Heath Colorado’s certified network extends beyond the Denver metropolitan area. Residents can come in or make an appointment with Enrollment Centers located from Durango, Buena Vista, Pueblo, Leadville, Salida, Yuma to Fort Morgan, just to name a few. Staff at Connect for Health Colorado certified sites and enrollment centers are prepared to assist Coloradans in multiple languages other than English. In 2021, one in five quotes was in Spanish.

“Free, in-person help from Connect for Health Colorado Certified Health Coverage Assistants is available throughout Colorado to help you get the right health insurance coverage,” Patterson recorded. The executive reiterated that the enrollment period for the 2023 plan year ends on January 15, 2023. After that date, Coloradans will only be able to enroll, at any time, if they lose health coverage from their job or experience certain changes in your home or life.
