Rent and Mortgage assistance
With a grant from the Adams County Foundation and support of the County Commissioners, Maiker Housing Partners is administering the COVID-19 Rental and Mortgage Assistance program. This program is available to all Adams County residents that meet the basic income criteria and have suffered a loss of income due to COVID-19. Legal documentation is not required. To review eligibility criteria and/or begin the online application, visit www.maikerhp.org. If you do not have access to the internet, call 303-227-2075 and an application can be mailed to you.

Hunger Free Colorado is Colorado’s leading anti-hunger organization. Hunger Free Colorado connects families to needed food resources, such as the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), local food banks, meal sites, and other community options for accessing healthy food.

Telehealth for children and teens
Kids First Health Care offers telehealth for most types of primary care and mental health visits for children and teens. Telehealth is a covered benefit by all insurance plans in Colorado, and Kids First is currently offering telehealth services at no cost to families.

Health Care services to new borns
BHS SBHC- Kids First Health Care at Brighton High School is now open to infants, children, and teens ages 0-21 in the Brighton community and beyond. The health center is open on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 8 AM – 4:30 PM from April 20 through the end of summer break. The health center provides a variety of health care services, including immunizations, annual check-ups, visits for sickness and injury, confidential teen health services, and health education. For pregnant women
WIC provides healthy food, nutrition education, breastfeeding guidance, and community support for income-eligible women who are pregnant or postpartum, or have infants and children up to five years old. Colorado WIC is still serving clients. Due to COVID-19, many WIC clinics are providing services by phone to protect the health of clients and staff.

Medicaid/CHP+ Application Assistance
Kids First Health Care is currently offering virtual assistance with applying for health insurance through Health First Colorado (Medicaid) or Child Care Plan Plus (CHP+) and connecting with other resources. Kids First’s Care Coordinator, Bobbi Garcia-Abrego, will guide you through the process and offer support over the phone. Please call 303-289-1086 for assistance more information
