Beers from the two new brands created by Keith Villa will be served at the Suave Fest this coming September 18. “We hope that many people will come to discover the wonderful beers that we make. I’m not just talking about the beers of my brands Ceria and Donavon. At Suave Fest there will be a wide variety of extraordinary beers created by Hispanic brewers throughout Colorado. I assure you that you are going to have fun and be surprised by the good beers that you are going to discover,” said Villa.
Villa, founder of Blue Moon, has used his knowledge and experience as a brewmaster to launch his Donavon brand products. “I invite you to come to our booth to try our Vienna-Style Lager (VSL) beers; Cinnamon horchata; and the Mojito Ale, with mint and lime. We also have a white wine beer hybrid that is made with Chardonnay grapes. We try to make beers that are unique flavors with the Donovan Brewing Company,” he explained.
This entrepreneur earned a doctorate degree in beer production from the University of Brussels. Villa says that “in my doctorate I learned how to make unique beers. In Belgium, they love to brew their beers with whatever ingredient they have on hand. I applied that same criterion with Blue Moon and now apply it with my new beers. We make the products with ingredients that people see in their kitchen every day such as cinnamon, horchata, lemon, and mint. And I add a touch of my Mexican roots”.
Non-alcoholic beers
Villa also brings Ceria products, his other production line, to Suave Fest. It will be non-alcoholic beers. “Ceria products taste refreshing and taste like beers. They can be ingested anytime, anywhere. We have two flavors. One is the Belguian Whire, similar to the Blue Moon and is made with oats, wheat, malt, hops, orange peel, and coriander. It smells like fruit. The other flavor is an IPA, dark, made with malt and with a lot of hops. From this last ingredient it obtains the aroma and the strong flavor. You must try it,” he concluded.
Cannabis beer
One of the products Villa created for his Ceria brand contains cannabis. “We are producing beer to which we add THC and CBD, the components of cannabis. Those products are already sold in local dispensaries in Colorado and California,” says Villa. This expert brewmaster went a bit further. Villa wrote and published the book “Brewing with Cannabis: Using THC and CBD in beer.” And he added, “with this publication I want to guide and stimulate all those who want to venture into a new production line.”
