Coloradans who missed the enrollment deadline may still have a special opportunity to enroll in health coverage because of the Tax Time Enrollment Program. Those interested must check a box found on the Colorado tax return. Health Insurance’s Enrollment until April 18th.
By checking this box, Connect for Health Colorado (C4HC) and the state Department of Health Care Policy and Financing will know that you are interested in receiving health coverage. Ask your tax preparer to check that box and take advantage of this opportunity to register before April 18.

Instructions to register
People who check the box on their state tax return will receive tracking information from C4HC. They will tell you how to enroll in a private health insurance plan through the marketplace. Also, they will tell you how to request your registration for Health First Colorado or Child Health Plan Plus (CHP+) if you meet the requirements.
Taxpayers will receive news from C4HC approximately one week after filing their state return. The special enrollment period is effective for 60 days from the date an individual applies and receives the application results from C4HC. Coverage will be effective the first day of the month following plan selection.
