The second edition of the Adelante Latina Convention 2024, held at the Adams County Fairgrounds, marked a historic milestone in the empowerment and recognition of Hispanic women in Colorado. The event, organized by Adelante Community Development (ACD), brought together more than 500 women with the willingness to share, show solidarity, learn, and motivate each other. Representative Yadira Caraveo, District 8 of Colorado, was present at the event.

The presence of Caraveo and prominent panelists, such as scientist Déborah Berebichez and mental health leaders like Silvia Morales Chainé, as well as the declaration by Governor Jared Polis, establishing March 5 as Adelante Latina Convention Day, reflect the significant legacy that this event is leaving in the Hispanic community of Colorado. “We are more than happy with the community’s response,” said María González, CEO of ACD.
