Since last December, each week more and more Hispanic families are enjoying the natural scenery that Boulder County offers us. “We live in Colorado, which is a state whose greatest wealth is its natural resources, its trails, its mountains and all its natural abundance,” says Marina La Grave, social entrepreneur in charge of the “Exploring Boulder Trails” initiative.

La Grave, together with her team, have made Hispanic families know and begin to appropriate those natural resources around them. Boulder, which is located a few miles from the Denver metropolitan area, has about 32 trails available to the public with a total of 120 miles that can be traveled as a family and in complete safety. “From the first week of December to date we have traveled 28 of the trails,” La Grave said.

This entrepreneur expresses the main intention of this initiative. “We want families to take ownership of the trails. Let them know that the trails are here; that are theirs; they are here for your enjoyment. What I do is show them what kind of activities and what kind of experiences we can have on a trail. So the idea is to go step by step and walk all the trails in the county ”.

Invitation

La Grave invites you to follow the Facebook of this movement. “Every Wednesday they will learn about the path that we are going to travel the following Saturday. We make our tour between one and three in the afternoon. Every Saturday we go to a different trail. The trails we choose are suitable for all fitness levels. It can range from granny to baby. If the car cannot pass the baby goes from arm to arm ”.
