Hispanic Brewers Display their Products in Denver

The second edition of the Suave Fest is imminent, an event featuring a significant sample of craft beers produced in Colorado. “Suave is the first Hispanic-produced craft beer festival in the US. This event celebrates craft brewery owners from around the country,” said Suave organizer José Beteta, co-owner of Raices Brewing.

Beteta explained that there are more than 8 thousand craft breweries around the country but that only 0.5 percent of them are operated by Hispanics. Beteta also said, “In this event, we show that Hispanic entrepreneurs in this industry are increasing and growing day by day. All of us are producing beers of very high quality and with a cultural component.” Additionally, Beteta stated that the public will be able to appreciate the contribution that Hispanic breweries make.

Thirty Types of Beer to Try

In the Suave Fest 2021, 14 craft breweries will be participating, showcasing more than thirty of their products. “All of these breweries have commonalities. All the owners have Hispanic roots, and we all share the originality of our products with our communities,” said Tamil Maldonado, co-owner of Raíces Brewing and organizer of this festival.

Maldonado indicated that the cultural contribution of the Suave Fest includes the presentation of various musical groups. “There will be six hours of live music with Latino artists from various areas of the state of Colorado,” she said. There will also be a large variety of food trucks presenting a very wide range of food. “We guarantee that you will find a very good atmosphere. We want to invite you to come and have a good time with us,” she concluded.

Fun for the Designated Driver

At the Suave Fest, those who want to consume alcohol as well as those who don’t will have fun. “We have a special ticket for people who want to try non-alcoholic products. For those who are designated drivers who cannot consume alcohol, we tell them that they are going to be amazed at the variety of nonalcoholic beers at the event. There are also artisan products at the event,” Maldonado explained.
