Connect for Health Colorado, the state’s official health insurance marketplace, announced that in less than 48 hours since the market opened, over 11,000 individuals submitted an application to Colorado Connect for the OmniSalud program. This allowed Colorado Connect to determine the eligibility of the 11,000 individuals that the OmniSalud program was going to cover in 2024.
The allocated slots are those that receive financial assistance and have a zero-dollar premium. This portion of the OmniSalud program is known as SilverEnhanced Savings. Although the spaces for financial assistance have been exhausted, program spokespersons explain that individuals without immigration status can still enroll in OmniSalud plans at the regular cost.

Consult with Authorized Insurance Brokers
“If you missed out on financial assistance, I recommend consulting with one of our brokers who have extensive knowledge of healthcare and coverage options,” said Kevin Patterson, CEO of Connect for Health Colorado. OmniSalud provides undocumented Colorado residents with a safe way to compare affordable health insurance plans and enroll securely.
OmniSalud is available on Colorado Connect, Connect for Health Colorado’s public benefit corporation and online enrollment platform. In September 2023, the Colorado Division of Insurance announced that for 2024, it would increase the availability of financial assistance for health insurance in the OmniSalud program to 11,000 individuals, a 10 percent increase from 2023.
Until January 15
“We anticipated that we would see significant financial assistance determinations early in the enrollment period for OmniSalud; the response we saw yesterday and today has exceeded even our very high expectations. I’m truly grateful for and astounded by the response,” added Patterson. The open enrollment period extends until January 15, 2024.
