For the third rendition, Mariachi Los Correcaminos will present its traditional tribute to mothers. “Join us in this concert that we prepared as a tribute to the mothers of our community. The mariachi group will perform an act commemorating the end of this school year,” said Lorenzo Trujillo, director of this musical group and Mariachi chair at the Metropolitan State University (MSU).

Trujillo points out that the public will be able to witness the presentation of two outstanding students. The first is Luis Murillo, an extraordinary singer and harmonica player, and the second is William Trevizo, a highly skilled violinist who comes from a family linked to mariachi music. Murillo and Trevizo were awarded scholarships due to their extraordinary musical abilities.

The concert setlist is very appealing. “We are going to perform songs that will be to everyone’s liking. These include ‘Viva Veracruz,’ ‘El pastor,’ and ‘El Cascabel.’ We will also present a very innovative interpretation of the ‘Malagueña Salerosa.’ There will be many surprises,” Trujillo stated. This musician and academic also announced that William Trevizo’s Mariachi Águila will have a special performance at the event.
