Hugo Chávez Rey, who led the Colorado Hispanic Republicans organization for over a decade and is now part of The Hispanic Patriot Podcast team, has shown his support for Donald Trump’s visit to Aurora, Colorado, on Friday, October 11. For Chávez Rey, this visit reflects a commitment from the former president to the safety of Aurora’s communities and the entire nation. “President Trump’s decision to visit Aurora is a good decision,” he stated.

Chávez Rey emphasized that Trump is “showing he cares about the safety of our communities” by speaking out against the Biden/Harris administration’s border policies, which he claims have allowed the Venezuelan Tren de Aragua gang to establish itself in Aurora and terrorize immigrant families. “I hope his visit motivates the authorities to take the necessary actions to protect the citizens and immigrants in Aurora,” he emphasized.

Media and authorities in collusion, according to Chávez Rey

Chávez Rey also harshly criticized local authorities, accusing both the Aurora mayor and Colorado governor of downplaying the severity of the situation to avoid public discontent. “They haven’t taken the situation seriously and have lied to the people of Colorado to save face,” stated Chávez Rey, labeling this inaction as “unacceptable.”

The Republican activist also directed strong criticisms at local media, accusing them of collaborating with the mayor and governor to conceal the reality of the problem. According to him, the media has been “in collusion” with the authorities in their “false reporting” on the seriousness of the Tren de Aragua issue, all to damage Trump’s image during the election season.
