Denver successfully hosted one of its most emblematic celebrations: the Cinco de Mayo Festival at Civic Center Park. The event brought together hundreds of thousands of families over two days in an atmosphere filled with music, culture, and community gathering. Considered one of the largest and most traditional events of its kind in the United States, this year’s edition reaffirmed its community importance.

The celebration began with the traditional parade, where the Adelitas of Colorado stood out as a symbol of pride and Mexican heritage. Throughout the weekend, three stages offered a diverse musical program that kept the audience engaged, featuring performances by Sonora Skándalo and a closing act by El Morro y su Reunión, along with groups such as Mariachi América and Tropical Kaoba.

The food offerings and family activities, including contests, games, and lowrider exhibitions, complemented the festivities. Organized by NEWSED Community Development Corporation, the festival reinforced its role as a space for identity, integration, and cultural celebration in Colorado.
