The Denver community has demonstrated once again that solidarity knows no borders when it comes to responding to a massive humanitarian emergency. The city’s restaurant sector, Latino community, and creative industries have joined forces to create “Unidos por Venezuela” (United for Venezuela), a charity event designed to raise critical funds following the devastating consecutive earthquakes that struck the South American nation on June 24, 2026.

The powerful magnitude 7.1 and 7.5 earthquakes caused the deaths of more than 3,000 people, left thousands injured, and displaced entire families in a country already strained by a prolonged crisis. The initiative is led by Juan Padro, a renowned hospitality entrepreneur from The Culinary Creative Group, who stands out as the leading figure in this mobilization.

Alongside Padro, the drive of the local Venezuelan community is present through the coordination of María De Cambra and Carolina Nabavian, who, together with Diana Flores and Rico Aragón, have successfully secured the backing of Denver’s business community to channel aid quickly and transparently.

An Evening of Gastronomy, Culture, and Direct Support

The event will take place this coming Wednesday, July 8th, starting at 6:00 p.m. at NOVEL RiNo, located at 1350 40th St, Denver, CO 80205. The evening will also mark the public debut of upNXT Denver, the city’s innovative rotating chef residency program, which will share the stage with the activation of the well-known concept Sorry Gorgeous.

Attendees will be able to enjoy a special dinner, live music, and participate in a silent auction aimed at boosting fundraising efforts. Tickets are priced at $40, and 100% of the net proceeds will automatically be transformed into a direct donation for on-the-ground assistance.

Transparency and International Logistics

To ensure that the financial aid arrives without a hitch, bypassing the hurdles of the country’s damaged infrastructure, all funds raised will be delivered to two international non-profit organizations with experience in disaster zones: Global Empowerment Mission (GEM) and Third Wave Volunteers. Both organizations will be responsible for purchasing and distributing medical supplies, food, and survival kits in the sectors most heavily impacted by the earthquakes.

Those interested in attending, collaborating with the cause, or purchasing their tickets before the event closes can do so by going directly to the official presale portal at the following link: Buy tickets for Unidos por Venezuela.
