Denver Summit FC officially kicks off its journey in the National Women’s Soccer League in 2026 as an expansion franchise, marking the start of a historic chapter for women’s soccer in Colorado. The team will debut on Saturday, March 14, 2026, against Orlando Pride at Chicago Park Stadium during the league’s opening weekend. Its first home game will be on March 28 at noon against Washington Spirit at Empower Field at Mile High, in an event called The Kickoff, broadcast by CBS and expected to sell out as the Centennial Stadium construction wraps up.

Led by Nick Cushing, former Manchester City coach, the club blends international experience, young talent, and a strong local identity. Lindsey Heaps stands out as the team’s star and project leader, a world and Olympic champion with the United States. In goal, veteran NWSL goalkeeper Abby Smith shines for her reliability in one-on-one situations. Defenders Megan Reid and Eva Gaetino bring solidity, range, and tactical awareness. In midfield, Mexican-American Lourdes Bosch adds vision and emerging talent, while forwards Nahikari García from Spain and rising star Jasmine Aikey offer goal-scoring and dynamism.
