Guest Columnist- The Clear Reasonable Choice: Why I am Voting For Yadira Caraveo

This November’s election is truly consequential for our communities. We have the choice of sending a genuine community leader back to the U.S. House or an extremist who believes that we should demonize families seeking asylum. I believe this is a clear choice, which is why I will be voting for Dr. Yadira Caraveo for the U.S. House of Representatives this November.

I have had the pleasure of getting to know Yadira not only as a fellow elected official but also as a friend. She is deeply passionate about delivering real results to the people of Colorado and has worked tirelessly the last 2-years in Washington D.C. to make sure the people of our community can have a better quality of life.

Believe in reproductive freedom

As a former pediatrician, she knows the importance of reproductive care and has been a champion defending abortion access. She has fought to lower the cost of healthcare and has been an especially strong advocate for lowering the cost of prescription drugs. In contrast, Gabe Evans doesn’t believe in women’s reproductive freedom and wants to take away our community’s access to Medicare and Medicaid.

These are just a few of the many reasons I am voting for Yadira. She is an independent thinker in Congress and puts the needs of Coloradans first. She is ranked as one of the most bipartisan freshmen members of Congress, and she is committed to enacting real immigration reform.

Gabe Evans will be a rubber stamp for MAGA Republicans. The same Republicans who have proven themselves completely incapable of governance in the U.S. House. I am voting for Yadira because I believe in her ability to serve our community effectively and fairly.
